is it possible to know what date corresponds to the appearance of this break on the coat of arms of the Blamont family and what are your sources please?
In fact I search the coat of arms of Olry de Blamont dubbed in 1395 and who died in 1415 at azincourt battle, second son of Henri IV de blamont (1375-1421)in late XIV° century.
I have no idea, wether this is possible, i just know: i can’t.
My source was given above: the “Armorial Loutsch” of 1974.
To keep it simple, i gave HIS source too: (desR), which is :
“Edmond des Robert: Tableau systématique des sceaux de Lorraine, des Pays Rhénans et autres du trésor des Chartes de Lorraine, etc. Catalogue en trois exemplaires dactylographiés, le premier à la Bibliothèque Nationale à Paris (coté: Rés. fol. Lj 36, 29), le second aux Archives Nationales à Paris, le troisième aux Archives de Meurthe-et-Moselle A Nancy. Seules ont été publiées une table alphabétique et une table héraldique, Bade 1952.”
